You Are Paying Too Much For Your Line Rental.

Domestically we have. perhaps, become immune to the £17 per month or more that many domestic telecom suppliers charge.
This has in my view been exploited by many business telecom suppliers who charge high line rentals - far in excess of the cost to them.
The worst offenders are now charging in excess of £21 PER LINE PER MONTH.
Perhaps the reason for these heavy prices is because, with the increase in adoption of IP Telephony (VOIP), The number of lines needed by any business using IP will be significantly reduced.
Old technology lines and calls, whilst still a very valid and reliable technology, has the major limitation that only one call at a time per line is possible.
ISDN doesn't improve this very much because although it is supposedly optimised for data the transmission speeds are dire. It has also been the subject of high prices and high installation costs, especially if sourced from a certain high profile supplier.
ISDN IS BEING PHASED OUT. I would say not before time.
